Assessment and Profiling

GIA measures a person’s mental horsepower and gives you a prediction of their potential to grasp a new role or respond to training by answering questions such as - can they think on their feet? Could they be a high flyer? Are they problem solvers?

How quickly a new recruit learns new procedures and reacts to change can mean the difference between success and failure in their job. And a CV can only tell you so much. But it can't tell you who will hit the ground running and make an early impact in the role.

By understanding how quickly your candidates can learn and retain new skills and procedures, you will have a reliable prediction of their potential to grasp or develop into a new role. You'll also get an indication of how well they'll respond to training.

And, as the market picks up, you'll have two challenges. The first is to encourage your managers to adapt in a constantly changing business environment; the second is to make sure your top performers are loyal and engaged. GIA will enable you to identify the managers with the potential to drive and manage change. It will also help you understand your employee's capabilities and enable you to develop your performers by giving them the appropriate levels of challenge in the right areas.

Delivered online with our Partner Thomas International, through Thomas GIA or in a supervised pencil and paper format through Thomas TST, these assessments provide a report which will answer questions about your candidates and employees, including:

  • Can this person think on their feet?
  • How adaptable is this person to change?
  • Can they cope with the mental demands of the job?
  • Could this person be a high flyer?
  • Is this person a problem solver?
  • To what extent can we develop this person using training?
  • Is this person sufficiently challenged?
  • Do they have the capacity to handle greater mental demands in their role?
  • Could this person drive change in the organisation?

Use these assessments to help you choose the right person for the right job, to keep your talent motivated and challenged, and to identify leadership potential.
